I guess you don't really own a dog, you rent them, and you have to be thankful that you had a long lease.
Joe Garagiola

Beagle or Basset - he always found his way back home after chasing after elk or whatever his scenter found. Of course, that didn't mean we didn't look for him for at least two hours or more, calling his name and then he'd find us. ERRRR.

Sisters, grew up in the forest and learned to climb the trees of the forest. They learned the route for the hike and loved the snow. Always such devoted sisters.

Sure looks sweet, but...she is a cocker - corgie and boy, she is the BOSS. She ruled the roost or thought she did. She was the shadow. Really fast and watch out Birds! - She was an Arizona Humane Society Rescue. She survived a rattlesnake bit. Tough chick.

Adopted from the Arizona Humane Society as a puppy, he grew up with the cabin and loved the woods. He spent his time in the cabin on the couch. He can't reach the couch at home.

Found Aug. 17th running the streets of Phoenix, we never found her original owners so, she became ours. She sighed a lot for a Siberian. She liked cats. She also liked the cabin, but, needed to stay on a lead, as she liked to run and run and run. We were fortunate to have her for as long as we did. She was older than we thought.
George, what a good looking guy. He was adopted from Az Humane Society with his sister Lila. George live to 18 and a half. He just passed June 2025. He was a real lover.

Adopted from Maricopa Animal Control. He was a runner and there is always a lizard or something in the bushes. Chasing anything was his game. Catching it - yes, he was successful, so certain times of the year, he had to wear a bell on his collar. He didn't like the cold so much, so he wore a jacket. He enjoyed the forest.

Dude

Sophie was my brother's dog, then my mom's dog, then ours. Sophie tried to raise Cammi and Chevy but once they hit 5, they were done. So, it was time for Sophie to find someone to appreciate her. We had worked on her running crazy to a point, she liked teasing neighbor dogs in our forest neighborhood, she had improved. She found a new home in Tucson. They wondered why she woke up at 5 am. Whoopsie

Sonny had to be rehomed as we moved to an environment that he couldn't adapt to. We had him since he was 6 months old. He suffered through an ant attack at 4 years old. He had to get shots in his tiny legs. Over 30 years with him. So sad to remove him but the Scottsdale Herpetoligical Society was for the best.

George was adopted from Az Humane Society with his sister, Lila. George was twice the size of Lila. At his peak of 16, Lila was a big old 8. George was good at twisting and contorting and looked like a skunk when on his belly. When upright, he looked like he drank milk and it spilt all the way down his face to his feet. He was a people person. He also liked his cat tree and houses.

Charli passed too soon and unexpectedly st around six years. She was adopted from the Az Humane Society and looked like a chipmunk as a kitten, which was a problem for the dogs because they liked to chase chipmunks. It took awhile for adjustment, but she could be found laying with them, either Toby or Fetzer. She was a very affectionate cat. She was the first to greet you coming out of the shower

Sulky was rehomed to the Scottsdale Herpetological Society when we moved out of state. She wouldn't of adapted to the new state. We had her since she was 6 months. Boy did she grow. Luckily we had a big back yard and plenty of plants.
